These are the original bronze bushings that are supporting the pinion shaft and the camshaft.
When new the holes in the bushing are nearly in the place they should be, but the holes in the nosecone are not.
This is because the bushings were machined after they were fitted in the nosecone. So when the bushings wear out and you replace them they are no longer inline, because the old ones are excentric
and the new ones are concentric.
That is one of the reasons we are replacing them by needlebearings.
